Introduction

Easy Budget Planners LLC ("Easy Budget Planners," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you visit easybudgetplanners.com (the "Site") and use our free calculators or our paid Money Tracker Pro service (together, the "Services").

Quick summary

  • Free calculators run entirely in your browser. We never see the numbers you enter.
  • Money Tracker Pro stores your dashboard data in our database so it can sync across your devices. Your data is private to your account.
  • We do not connect to your bank, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.

Information we collect

Free calculator inputs. Everything you type into our calculators (income, expenses, loan amounts, etc.) is processed locally in your browser. None of it is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Account information (Money Tracker Pro). When you create a Pro account we collect your email address and a hashed password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase). We may also store account preferences like dark/light mode.

Money Tracker Pro data. When you sign in to Money Tracker Pro, the values you save (assets, liabilities, budget categories, debts, subscriptions, etc.) are stored in our database so the same view is available on every device you sign in from. This data is associated with your account and is access-controlled at the database level so other users cannot see it.

Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing details (name, billing address, payment method) are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We receive and store only the metadata Stripe returns to us — for example, your Stripe customer ID, plan name, subscription status, and current period end. We do not see, store, or have access to your full card number.

Support communications. If you email us at support@easybudgetplanners.com, we keep that correspondence so we can respond to and follow up on your request.

Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our servers and analytics partners receive certain information automatically when you visit:

  • IP address (used in aggregate, typically anonymized)
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and screen size
  • Pages viewed, time on page, and referring URL

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide and operate the Services, including saving and syncing your Money Tracker Pro data
  • Authenticate you and protect your account
  • Process payments, send receipts, and manage subscriptions
  • Respond to support requests
  • Understand how the Site is used so we can improve it
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your Money Tracker Pro data for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Authentication and keeping you signed in to your Pro account
  • Optional anonymous analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Optional UX research (Microsoft Clarity heatmaps and session replay)
  • Remembering theme and UI preferences (stored locally in your browser)

The two analytics tools above only load if you click Accept on the consent banner that appears on your first visit. You can change your mind at any time by clicking Privacy choices below — that reopens the banner so you can grant or revoke consent.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may prevent you from signing in to Money Tracker Pro.

Data storage and security

Money Tracker Pro account data is stored in Supabase's managed Postgres database. Database access is enforced by row-level security so each account can only read and write its own rows. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest at the storage layer.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no service can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secret.

Data retention

We keep your Money Tracker Pro data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your dashboard data is removed within 30 days. Stripe retains billing records as required by law (typically up to 7 years) regardless of account status. Anonymous analytics data is retained per the providers' default retention policies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we have about you
  • Correct or update inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and the data associated with it
  • Export your Money Tracker Pro data (you can do this any time from the app's "Export" button)
  • Opt out of analytics tracking through your browser or the links above

Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

The Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from another country, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States by us and our service providers.

Third-party links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email to active Pro subscribers.
